INTERNATIONAL MEETING POINT FOR TOURISM
After a few months of preparation, the Organizing Committee of the INTERNATIONAL TOURISM FAIR IN PERU, “FITPERÚ 2008” which is headed up by CARETUR LA LIBERTAD, has officially been formed with the participation of representative entities from the public and private sector. This event, which is the first of this significance in Peru and is projected to be 5,000 m2 large, will be organized by HoritzoGrup, who has significant experience with fairs and events in different countries all over the world. Amongst these fairs are those which are especially dedicated to tourism, including FITE, which takes place year after year in Guayaquil, Ecuador. With this in mind, D. Jaime Rull, its president, established long dialogue forums in Trujillo and in Lima, so as to improve people’s knowledge of the attractions that their regions offer to tourists. Edition 2007 will be held this November from the third to the sixth in the colonial city of Trujillo, which, with its 800,000 residents, will be the host for national and international guests. This event will capture the attention of more than 20,000 visitors including people from the country and from other countries, professionals or general public. Two days will be dedicated to business meetings between buyers and sellers in the sector, for which 30 countries are working arduously to configure the arrival of a large mission of international tour operators to the destination. FITPERÚ 2007 will be officially presented on May 3 at 11:30 in the Rafael Remy Auditorium of the La Libertad Commerce and Production Chamber in Trujillo. Distinguished authorities and representatives of the private and public sector and other guests will be there. Discover “THE COUNTRY OF WONDERS, and THE WONDERS OF THE WORLD.” This is the event’s slogan that will bring together offers from Peru, along with participation from invited countries through stands and delegations.
