With great anticipation, a stand that shows the tourism alternatives that Peru has to offer is presented in China. “FITPERÚ,” THE INTERNATIONAL TOURISM FAIR IN PERU, participates here for the first time as part of a international promotion strategy. With various panels and banners that show the characteristics of the fair’s first edition, at stand 11-B40 tour operators from China and from other countries around the world can appreciate the main tourism icons in Peru.
This initiative, which was taken by the La Libertad Regional Chamber of Tourism and was brought to the Chinese capital by HoritzoGrup, is an invitation for tourism professionals and specialized journalists to come to FITPERU from November 3 to 6. They are invited to become familiar with what the city, the Northern Amazon region and the whole country has to offer. Here, they can enjoy alternatives that include archeological ruins, marvelous beaches, colonial cities, the Andean mountain chain, one of the most exuberant jungles of the Amazon and an excellent gastronomical selection.  Therefore, the organization that is in charge of this event and that follows the lead of D. Jaime Rull, who is currently in this Asian country, has created the slogan “THE COUNTRY OF A THOUSAND WONDERS” to describe Peru. This stop is the last on a trip around the world that started in May at FITCUBA, then took him to the BTC in Santo Domingo, and then to EUROCOTAL in Spain. Now, he is closing up the first semester in the capital of the People’s Republic of China, BEIJING, alongside 80 countries and more than 800 exhibitors.

The presentation is conducted at the stand and is followed by the distribution of a lot of promotional material about the fair and images of some of the country’s tourism alternatives. This effort makes this Peruvian event, which will take place from November 3 to 6 in Trujillo, La Libertad’s colonial capital, an attractive potential destination for Chinese people, whose government has declared Peru an “authorized destination.” In 2006, following this declaration, registered arrivals of people from this country that is currently hosting FITPERÚ rose to almost 80% more than the previous year.
